Anthony Atala

Anthony Atala is a seasoned attorney handling a wide range of insurance claims. After more than a decade defending insurance companies and their insurers, Anthony joined Amanda Demanda Injury Lawyers representing those who have suffered injuries . A native of Miami, Florida, and a first generation Cuban-American, Anthony attended the University of Florida, where he received his Bachelors of Arts in Political Science. While at UF, Anthony was involved with Student Government, the Hispanic Student Association, and Hispanic Heritage Month. He then attended Florida A&M University (FAMU) – College of Law in Orlando, Florida where he obtained his Juris Doctorate. While at FAMU, he served as a Teaching Assistant for Contracts and served as part of the Student Bar Association and Hispanic Law Students Association. Anthony also clerked in real estate law while in law school.

After graduating from law school, Anthony started his own law firm in Central Florida where he concentrated on Personal Injury and Family Law matters. He returned to South Florida in 2011, where he worked at a small law firm handling Personal Injury matters. In 2012, Anthony began representing insurance carriers and their insureds. He originally worked for a regional law firm, and then for two of the largest insurance defense law firms in the state. He spent over 10 years with one law firm overseeing numerous personal injury and first party insurance matters for insurance carriers.
In 2024, having spent more than a decade representing insurance carriers, Anthony decided to use his knowledge and skills to represent those injured as a result of someone else’s negligence. Anthony handles cases involving automobile accidents, premises liability, and slip and falls. Using his vast knowledge of the insurance industry, Anthony meticulously handles cases to achieve the best possible resolution for his clients.

In addition to his legal practice, Anthony serves on the Audit and Budget Advisory Committee for Miami-Dade County Public Schools. He previously served as a Community Council Member in Miami-Dade County. He is a member of the Cuban American Bar Association, where he was a LEADS Class 2 Fellow and New Member of the year in 2024, the Miami Lakes Bar Association, and the Spanish American League Against Discrimination (SALAD). Anthony is also a licensed Real Estate Broker and was a Continuing Education Instructor for Insurance Adjuster.

Anthony is admitted to practice in the State of Florida and Southern and Middle Districts of Florida.
