On the evening of March 13, 2025, the FIU College of Law was filled with energy and excitement as CABA FIU Law hosted its highly anticipated Speed Mentoring Event. Led by CABA FIU Law President Kelly Cuba and the dedicated committee, the event was designed to give law students the opportunity to meet face-to-face with a variety of experienced attorneys practicing across different fields in South Florida. In a lively classroom setting, each student had five minutes of one-on-one time with each attorney before rotating to the next mentor — creating a fast-paced but meaningful experience full of valuable insight and advice.
The atmosphere was not only professional but also warm and welcoming, with delicious Cuban snacks and authentic cafecito on hand, adding a cultural touch to the evening. Amanda, one of the participating attorneys, had a truly rewarding experience sharing her journey, offering words of encouragement, and helping students envision a successful future in the legal field. She loves empowering the next generation and hopes that her advice inspired students to believe in themselves and pursue their careers with confidence and purpose.
