On the evening of December 19, 2025, Amanda Demanda Law Group hosted the Amanda Demanda Dreamers Scholarship Ceremony at Christmas Wonderland in Tropical Park, celebrating five exceptional students selected from a large pool of applicants. Students applied through our website by submitting an essay sharing who they are, what they are studying, why they want to pursue law school, and how they hope to use the law to make a difference. In partnership with TheDream.US, this scholarship was created to support Dreamers in South Florida who are committed to leadership, advocacy, and creating meaningful change through the legal profession.
The night began with a warm welcome at the entrance of Christmas Wonderland, where Amanda Demanda and our team greeted the scholarship recipients and their families for photos at the iconic pink LED cube. Together, we walked through the park, sharing conversations about their journeys, their goals, and the many paths a legal career can offer. The group then stopped by our Amanda Demanda Sweet Street for photos and videos before heading to the stage beneath the Christmas tree for the official ceremony.
During the ceremony, Amanda Demanda shared remarks about the importance of dreaming big, giving back, and investing in the next generation of legal leaders. Each recipient was then called up individually to receive a large pink scholarship check, take photos with their families, and be recognized for their achievements. The five Dreamers honored that night were Genika Celestin, Laura Cristina Guerra-Lopez, Daniela Ordoñez, Anthony Gutierrez, and Nina Michelle Tejera. Three of the recipients are recent college graduates who completed their degrees this month, one graduated in 2024, and one is a high school senior set to graduate in May 2026.
Each Dreamer brings a unique passion for the law, with interests ranging from immigration, family law, public interest, international law, criminal law, and medical malpractice. Several of the students are preparing to apply to or have their sights set on law schools such as Florida International University, Florida State University, University of Miami, St. Thomas University, Harvard, Yale, and Boston University, among others, as they continue building toward their future legal careers.
