Michal Meiler

Michal Meiler is the Founder of Meiler Law, P.A., a boutique litigation firm focused on insurance coverage, bad faith, and high-stakes trial advocacy. She represents policyholders, businesses, and injured victims in complex disputes against insurers.

A seasoned trial lawyer, Ms. Meiler previously served as a Shareholder at Ver Ploeg & Marino, P.A., where she handled high-stakes coverage and bad faith matters. She began her career as an Assistant Public Defender in Miami-Dade County, trying more than 65 jury trials, including homicide cases—experience that shapes her strategic, results-driven approach.

She is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida, the Eleventh Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Ms. Meiler holds leadership roles with the Florida Justice Association (Board member, PAC Trustee, and former Women’s Caucus Chair), the American Association for Justice (Florida Delegate, and past Chair of the Insurance Law Section), and The Florida Bar (Member of the Federal Practice Committee). She is also the Founder and President of the Jewish Lawyers Association of Miami-Dade County.

Her work has earned numerous honors, including the Miami-Dade Bar’s “Circle of Excellence” in Insurance Law, Best Lawyers “One to Watch,”  Florida Super Lawyers, “One the Rise Honoree,” by the DBR, and “40 Under 40 Outstanding Lawyers” by CFF.

She earned her B.A., cum laude, from George Washington University and her J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center. Michal’s proudest accomplishment, by far, is raising her three children.
